Why would I want to create a
fictional persona?

One of the main
activities within the fan club is the writing of fictional stories based in
the Star Trek universe during the Next Gen/DS9/Voyager era (late 24th
century) and taking place aboard the starships of the Federation Fifth Fleet and Starbase
719. Many of our crew
have created fictional counterparts for themselves which take part in these
adventures, written by the Fifth
Fleet members. In some cases,
members have also created NPCs, or non-player characters. The NPCs are used to fill in crew
positions which have not yet been filled by regular member characters.
